It is time to pull together and celebrate a half-century on the water. We invite you to join fellow UBC Thunderbird alumni and supporters on Friday, September 11, for a milestone evening as we honour the Golden Jubilee of Women’s Rowing at UBC. Since the program’s inception in the fall of 1976, UBC Women’s Rowing has built a formidable legacy, both athletically and academically. From early pioneers to modern-day powerhouses, this program has captured four Canadian University Rowing Championships and served as the training ground for Olympic medalists and future leaders. We look forward to seeing the Blue and Gold community come together to toast the past 50 years! Event Details: Date: Friday, September 11, 2026 Time: 6 pm - 9 pm Location: Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre, 6161 University Blvd, Vancouver What to Expect: A lively cocktail reception with appetizers and a chance to reconnect with fellow UBC rowing alumni athletes and coaching staff.
